Bill has come a long way. As an 18 year old kid, he could barely speak English; today he runs a multi-billion dollar hedge fund. Bill is a former prodigy of Julian Robertson and the founder of Tiger Asian Management. And he learned a thing or two from his mentor—Mr. Hwang’s fund returned 55% in 2007 and has a seven-year average of 40%.

Religion is not often associated with high-level fund management, but Bill Hwang is one of the few exceptions to this rule. He serves as a board member for Tiger Foundation, The Korea Society, and Fuller Theological Seminary.
